The AAD Wheelchair was designed and Patented for users with SCI and other conditions that affect mobility who have limited or no movement in the legs. The unique gearing system, seat and back design supports the natural alignment and curvature of the spine and inhibits inelasticity of the joints by creating movement, motion in the lower limbs while keeping the head and shoulders upright and centered over the body.

The hand mechanism attached to the Patented gearing system on one side of the AAD wheelchair extends the leg and foot rest on the other side of the body creating movement and motion of the legs and contralateral reciprocal movement of the body for wheelchair users with SCI or EDS, CP, SB and other conditions who have limited to no movement in the lower limbs. The gearing system and wheels under the wheelchair keep the hands away from the wheels while promoting improved muscular skeletal alignment througout the body.
