The 3rd Foot Cane
The 3rd Foot Cane Foot
How Is The 3rd Foot Cane and Crutch Foot Different From Other Cane, Crutch And Walking Stick Feet
The 3rd Foot Cane and 3rd Foot Crutch foot are sized, proportioned and designed to move, pivot and maintain balance, stability, upright posture and the body's natural alignment like a foot.
Traditional cane, crutch and walking stick feet are not sized or proportioned to move, pivot or maintain balance and the body's natural alignment like a foot. In order to maintain balance the users arm and hand must extend away from the side of the body and use the cane, crutch or walking stick handle to maintain balance. The spine loses its natural alignment and the head stops being aligned and centered over the shoulders
The human body is designed to maintain and regain upright posture, balance and stability well into old age and after an injury as long as the body maintains its natural alignment with the head upright and feet contacting the ground from heel to toe when walking.
The theory behind traditional cane, crutch, walking stick feet is that you use your arm or arms to extend your body's base of support and use the cane, crutch and walking stick handle to transmit some of your weight to the ground to maintain balance. The only problem with that theory is that your arms and hands are not designed to extend your body's base of support and carry your body's weight to maintain balance your feet are.
When you use your arm/arms to extend your body's base of support your spine loses its natural alignment. Your head stops being aligned and centered over your shoulders and becomes positioned in front of the rest of your body as you walk. When your head becomes positioned in front of the rest rest of your body your walking stride becomes too small and too unstable for your feet to contact the ground from heel to toe and engage your core muscles. You become more and more unstable and more bent over with time because your body has stopped moving the way it was designed to maintain its natural alignment and engage the core muscles.

The 3rd Foot Cane foot acts as a foot substitute that maintains contact with the ground from heel to toe helping maintain or regain your body's natural alignment and a long enough walking stride for your feet to contact the ground from heel to toe and engage and strengthen your core muscles. Letting you move better, get stronger and walk longer without extending your arm and leaning on a cane handle to maintain balance.

Stability & Alignment
The 3rd Foot Cane moves with the body on the outside of the leg not ahead of it like a traditional cane or walking stick that uses the handle to maintain balance.
The 3rd Foot Cane shaft maintains the same angle as the leg when walking forward, backward, turning and on the stairs helping to support the body's balance, stability and natural alignment
A new angle for better posture
The angled cane and crutch shaft of The 3rd Foot Cane and Crutch keep your center of gravity over your feet.
SureGrip™ Support
The bottom of The 3rd Foot Cane and Crutch foot are designed with SureGrip support Technology that has been carefully shaped to help maintain balance, stability and the body's alignment when walking on indoor and outdoor surfaces.
The contact area of The 3rd Foot Cane and Crutch Foot are contoured and proportioned to stabilize and balance the body's weight and provide linear support up through your shoulders when walking keeping the head upright and aligned over the body.
Patented Length Ratios Provide a Comfortable Gait
The 3rd Foot Cane and crutch's angled shaft and carefully tuned lengths in front of and behind the cane and crutch shaft move at the same angle as your leg helping keep the body stable and upright when walking forward, backward, turning and on the stairs.
The line-of-support running from the ground contact point up through the body is constantly changing. Keeping your center of gravity over your feet.
As you move forward, walk backward, turn the cane and the crutch foot move next to the outside of your leg like a 3rd Foot that helps maintain your upright posture, stability and alignment.
The 3rd Foot Cane's weight has been systematically calculated to maintain your body's balance, stability and upright posture when walking forward, backing up, turning, sitting down, standing up and on the stairs.
At 20 ounces The 3rd Foot Cane is comparable in weight to other 3 tip, 4 tip and prong canes, lighter than most quad canes and not as light as a single point cane.
A standard single point cane weighs about 15 ounces. The 3 tip, 4 tip and prong canes weights between 18 and 21 ounces. A typical quad cane weighs 28 ounces. None of them maintain balance or the body's natural alignment from the back of the cane foot to the front of the cane foot like a foot.
The cane foot of the Aligned As Designed Cane has been engineered as a hollow reinforced structurewithout the associated weight of traditional quad canes.
Full range of heights in one cane
The Aligned As Designed Cane's patented three-piece shaft design allows a generous height adjustment. Height adjustable from 29"to 39" or for people 4' 11" up to 6' 4" using a 39" cane.
The height can be adjusted when climbing or descending stairs, or sitting down or getting up for added stability.

Walk Upright With The 3rd Foot Cane
3 Tip 4 Tip & Prong Cane Feet vs The 3rd Foot Cane foot
3 Tip, 3-Prong, And 4 Tip Cane Feet Don't Move Or Maintain Balance Like A Foot
3 prong, 3 tip and 4 tip cane feet use the cane handle to maintain balance because the cane feet are not proportioned to move and maintain balance, stability and the body's alignment like a foot. These cane feet can stand up by themselves. What they don't do is let you stand up by yourself with your head upright and aligned over your body and your feet contacting the ground from heel to toe engaging your core muscles. The longer you use these canes the more bent over you become.
3rd Foot Cane Foot
The 3rd Foot Cane foot has the same proportions as your foot. It can maintain balance, stability and the body's alignment from the back of the cane foot to the front of the cane foot like a foot. Allowing your body to move the way it was designed to move to maintain or regain an upright, stable walking gait that engages the core muscles when walking forward, turning, walking backward, sitting down and standing up.
